Goodful

Today I am going to talk about one of my favorite social media accounts, Goodful. Goodful is a social media account dedicated to cooking and healthy lifestyle tips. Never have I ever been more inclined to cook in my life! Not only do they have amazing healthy recipes, but the account also shows tips to organize your life and stay healthy.  I even saw a video titled "Simple Techniques to Ease Self Doubt."
One of the best healthy dishes I have ever made, Lemon Chicken & Spaghetti Squash, came from Goodful. I am not the best cook, but watching a step by step instructional video is pretty much fool proof. This dish is amazing and beyond healthy. Also, spaghetti squash is super trendy right now due to all of its' amazing health benefits. Spaghetti squash can improve skin health, sight, your immune system, reduce insomnia, and so much more! Plus, the taste is on par with regular spaghetti noodles. (Check out https://www.organicfacts.net/health-benefits/fruit/squash.html for more fun squash facts).

Watching video clips like this can be addicting. I find myself watching them for extended periods of time. Also, when I find one that I want to try, I have this crazy, immediate sense of urgency to make the dish right at that very moment. I am not sure if it is because the video makes me hungry, or if Goodful just makes cooking look easy. Being raised in a time before most digital media, I also appreciate the ease of the step by step instruction. Cookbooks, in comparison, are much more difficult  to follow and are not as helpful as cooking videos or Cookvids as I like to call them.
I love every recipe and life tip that I have tried on Goodful. I urge you to follow +Goodful 's account and give some of the healthy meals a try. To me, Goodful makes life seem just a little bit easier.

Thieves Essential Oil: Cure all?

Essential Oils are all the rage right now in natural remedies. Whether they actually cure or they are just placebos, essential oils are making a splash in the world of natural remedies.
The essential oils that I have been using lately are the Young Living essential oils. They make oils that are made strictly for aromatherapy as well as essential oils that can be diluted and ingested. For Christmas, I luckily received Thieves AND I LOVE IT!

                                                             (thelavenderroom.us)

Thieves is an essential oil made exclusively by Young Living. It got it's name from a legend of actual thieves that robbed people afflicted with the bubonic plague. The thieves would rub this blend on their feet in order to keep from getting sick. Thieves is made from Clove, lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus Radiate, and Rosemary essential oils. Just like the legend, thieves is used as an immunity booster.
There are many ways to use thieves, but the best way is to dilute it and ingest it. Whenever someone in my house gets sick, I give everyone a couple of drops of thieves (in a glass bottle) and fill the rest of the bottle with water. I love the taste of thieves, but a few people do not like the strong clove taste that thieves has. I will also diffuse thieves throughout the house to kill the airborne illness. So far, thieves has worked wonders for me. It is the BEST way to naturally stay health and illness free!
I found out about Thieves from a friend's post on twitter. She shared the original Young Living's post. I thought that the post was eye-catching and incredibly aesthetically pleasing, which is what drew me in in the first place. The caption was simple, "explore the history of thieves," the history of the oil is what I thought to be the unique selling point. The history is what almost made me believe that it worked. Even though it is just a legend, it illustrated the uses and the purpose of thieves perfectly. The name thieves is just brilliant in itself.
I highly suggest using thieves as a natural immunity booster. Me and everyone in my life that I force to try it, loves it. It actually works wonders!

Natural Remedies to Undo the 90s

I have been interested in natural remedies for as long as I can remember. For one, I have two autoimmune diseases and cutting down on harmful chemicals/ingredients is a part of my everyday life. Secondly, natural remedies are usually inexpensive, and as a college student working two jobs, finding inexpensive alternatives is extremely exciting and fun. I hope that you will find this blog post about all natural ingredients to help stimulate eyebrow growth to be helpful.

Working as a model, I have to make sure that my look stays up to date, as silly as that sounds. Unfortunately for me, natural and thick eyebrows are all of the rage. I say that this is unfortunate, not because I was born without thick eyebrows, but because I habitually waxed them all off in the late 90s, early 2000s. The last 5 or so years of my life, I have been trying many different serums and tactics to make them grow.
It was not until recently when a friend told me to use castor oil to stimulate eyebrow growth, that I starting doing some research of my own (how great is word-of-mouth?). I happened upon this youtube video of a younger girl with very thick eyebrows. She had been using a mixture of castor oil, coconut oil, and vitamin E oil to make her eyebrows grow.

           SIDE BAR:
There is something so trustworthy to me about video bloggers. I am well aware that most vloggers are paid to sell products, but when it comes to natural products, I could care less because they are pretty much all interchangeable. I also love the instructional aspect of the video. It is so simple, but somehow seeing instructional videos, prompts me to want to immediately do the same thing. Also if the video has before and after shots, I am completely sold. Sign me up!

The video that I have been referring to is a video called "How to Grow Eyebrows FAST! (Thick & Natural" by @ItsCatMat. She is so young and adorable! She used the brand Naissance, but as I said before, natural products are for the most part completely interchangeable. Just make sure that the coconut oil isn't in it's natural hard form, which means using fractionated coconut oil. Also, I had vitamin E oil capsules laying around the house, so I just popped open about four of the capsules and put equal parts of the other two oils in the container as well.

Apply the oil mixture before going to bed each night, and you will see amazing results. The pictures at the top of the article are actual before and after shots of @ItsCatMat. I have only used this mixture for a couple of weeks now, so I will not post my before and after shots. I do assure you though, I have already seen major growth, unlike any other remedy I have used before.

This mixture can be used on eyelashes as well! It is much cheaper and so much less harmful than substances like Latisse.

I hope you find this article to be helpful!
